Solar Mounting Structures
NLS Contractors supplies and installs solar mounting structures for ground-mount and rooftop PV arrays in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Khobar and across the Kingdom. Galvanised posts and rails sit on piles, ground screws or concrete footings, designed for SBC 301 wind uplift and IEC 62548. Handover includes foundation drawings, galvanising certificates, pile test records and as-builts.
A solar structure has one job: hold the modules at the right tilt, in the right rows, against wind that tries to lift them. The PV designer sets the tilt angle, row spacing and module layout, and the structure follows. IEC 62548 gives requirements for array design, and wind uplift is calculated per SBC 301 for the site. Uplift, not weight, governs most solar foundations.
Ground-mount arrays stand on galvanised posts and rails fixed to piles, ground screws or concrete footings. The geotechnical report decides which: driven piles, ground screws or concrete. Where the report requires, pile load tests are run on trial piles before production, covering pull-out and lateral load, and the results go into the handover file.
Tolerance is the practical risk. Rails bolt to the posts at set heights and modules clamp to the rails with little room to adjust, so pile positions and top levels are surveyed as they go in, and any pile outside tolerance is corrected before the rails go on. The survey records are part of the handover.
Rooftop structures sit on the roof's own structure, so the roof is checked for the added dead load and uplift before anything is ordered. Fixings are set to the roof type, whether metal sheet, concrete deck or a ballasted flat roof, and the sealing at each penetration is agreed with whoever holds the roof warranty.
Dust, heat and coastal air make corrosion protection a design decision. Posts, rails and brackets are hot-dip galvanised, with certificates for the zinc coating. Cut or drilled steel gets site repair, and the offer states the coating basis it is built on.
This package covers posts, rails, foundations and installation. Modules, inverters and cabling are separate packages, and solar equipment can be sourced through NLS Power. Price depends on structure weight, number of rows, foundation type, terrain and the site city. Lead time is stated in the offer. Send the array layout, tilt angle, module dimensions, the geotechnical report and the wind load basis.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a solar structure quote need?+
The array layout, tilt angle, module size and count, the geotechnical report, the design wind speed and the site city. For rooftop arrays add the roof drawings and the roof type.
Why are pile load tests needed?+
Piles carry uplift and lateral load, and ground varies from point to point. Tests on trial piles confirm that the capacity the design assumed is real, before the full number of piles is installed.
Can mounting structures be fitted to an existing roof?+
Yes, after the roof structure is checked for the added load and uplift. The offer lists the fixing type for your roof and how penetrations are sealed.
Do you supply the PV modules and inverters?+
Not in this package. It covers the structure, foundations and installation. Modules, inverters and cabling are separate, and solar equipment can be sourced through NLS Power.
Who supplies Solar Mounting Structures in Saudi Arabia?+
NLS Contractors (Northlane Solutions Company) supplies Solar Mounting Structures across Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Jubail. Send your specification and quantities to info@nlscontractors.com or info@northlanesolution.com for a quotation.
