Accommodation Blocks & Camp Units
NLS Contractors supplies and installs accommodation blocks and camp units in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Khobar and on remote sites: stacked cabin blocks, dormitories, mess halls, laundry and ablution blocks with their electrical, plumbing, air conditioning and fire detection. Fire provisions follow SBC 801 and Civil Defense. Handover includes the camp layout, MEP drawings and an installation record.
A camp is a small town built in a hurry. Before the first bed goes in, the layout has to settle how many rooms there are, how people move between them, where the kitchen and mess sit, and how power, water and sewage reach every block. Capacity is set by the room layout in the specification, so the enquiry should carry the room schedule. A head count alone does not set it.
Stacked cabin blocks give the most rooms per square metre of ground. Dormitory blocks, mess halls, laundry blocks and ablution blocks complete the camp. Each type carries the services it needs: lighting and sockets in every room, air conditioning sized to the room, plumbing in the ablution and laundry blocks, and fire detection throughout.
Utilities decide where a camp can go. Power comes from a grid connection or from generators. Water arrives by tanker or network and is held in tanks. Sewage is stored in tanks and tankered away, or connected to a network where one exists. The offer lists which of these it includes and what the site provides.
Fire provisions follow SBC 801 and Civil Defense requirements: detection in rooms and corridors, extinguishers, and escape routes with exits that stacking does not block. Stacked blocks also need stairs and walkways designed so people can leave quickly, and the layout is checked for the distance from any room to an exit. Spacing between blocks and access for emergency vehicles are set on the layout against Civil Defense requirements.
Phasing helps. Camps often open in stages, with the first blocks occupied while later ones are still being installed, so the offer can sequence delivery block by block and size the utilities for the final layout, since the first phase alone would undersize them.
Price depends on room count, block types, the services fitted and how far the units travel. Lead time follows quantity and the factory slot, and the offer states it. Send the room schedule, the site plan, the utilities available, the city and the move-in date.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a camp enquiry need?+
The room schedule, the site plan, the utilities available on site, the city and the move-in date. A room schedule matters more than a head count, because rooms drive the number of blocks and services.
How is sewage handled on a remote camp?+
Usually by storage tanks emptied by tanker, or by connection to a network where one exists. The offer states which it prices and who arranges the tanker collections.
Can cabin blocks be stacked?+
Yes. Stacking needs a frame designed for it, stairs and walkways, and an escape route check. The offer states the number of levels it prices.
Are fire systems part of the camp scope?+
Detection, extinguishers and escape routes per SBC 801 and Civil Defense are part of the scope, and the offer lists each item. Larger camps may add hydrants or tanks as the specification requires.
